Have you ever heard about “The Secret”? Yes, I’m talking about the Book and the Movie put together by Rhonda Byrne and a whole bunch of other Experts and Gurus...

If you have, I want to ask you a question.

“Have you tried to apply for yourself any of that stuff that the Secret is teaching?”

If you have, let me ask you another one,

“How is it working out for you? I mean, did it ever work for you or not?” – That’s what I wanna know.

‘Cos from what I hear so far, SOME folks said it worked for them, but MANY people said it didn’t.

(sigh...)

Well, what can I say?

Apparently, the Secret is only meant to work for SOME, not for MANY...For those who can “DREAM BIG”, I suppose and “walk, live and breathe” success – the Secret should be a “no brainer”... From what I’ve heard from YouTube Videos, many folks who were already successful in the past became even MORE successful after they’ve stumbled upon the Secret and tried it for themselves...

So what about the rest of us? What about YOU and I, for that matter?

The Secret tells us that “There is enough in this world to go around”.

Is it really true? Or, like one of my friends likes to say,

“There is enough for anybody’s need, but not enough for anybody’s greed!”

I can’t disagree with what he is saying, however let’s be positive here for a second.

Let’s imagine for a second (mind you, just for a second!) that whatever they’re saying is true. You know, about having enough to go around and stuff... You know, just like in that math formula, the one that they taught us at school: “IF something is TRUE, then...WHAT?”

So if there REALLY IS enough in this world to go around and if the Secret does not lie, then next time you’re in a dreamy mood, just allow yourself to imagine that YOU (not “SOME” – YOU) can make a wish and that wish will actually come true. I mean will come true for YOU – and not for just “SOME”, OK?

Do you see what I’m saying here?

I’m saying that there’s NOTHING WRONG if we can allow ourselves to dream and make wishes, and that this particular activity is not restricted to just SOME who were successful in their lives anyway...

Does it make sense to you, guys? I mean, it’s OK for a REGULAR GUY to have dreams and make wishes, isn’t it?

So tell you what.

If you ALLOW YOURSELF to make a wish – it should come true. Not right away, of course, but it should. At least we should try it. (They say “There’s no harm in trying”, right?)

So first you allow yourself to dream and MAKE THAT WISH!

...And then what?

Well, let’s look at the Secret again.

It says:

- Make a Wish

- Believe and...

- Receive!

Just like that, in that order!

Tell you what. Maybe it WILL work. Again, for SOME.

But how to make it work for MANY?

‘Cos if it was so simple – then it would be just a matter of following these 3 simple steps, but it’s not!

I will tell you where the real catch is.

The real catch, I mean the real ‘kicker’ and where everything falls apart is the word BIG.

‘Cos this is where I see that the Secret is wrong. It says that we should all DREAM BIG. It says that you should all be able to VISUALIZE how you already HAVE what you wished for. That you’re already DRIVING that ‘dream car’ of yours, that you’ve already MOVED IN into that beautiful ‘dream house’ of yours, that you’re already HOLDING that special someone, holding them right in your arms and LIVING that lavish lifestyle that you’d once imagined...

Oh really?!

Think about THIS for a second, folks. Can each and every one of us dream big? Can each and every one of us VISUALIZE that you already have whatever it is you’ve asked for??? Without actually HAVING EXPERIENCED it at least once in their lifetime?

Well, I guess not, even though SOME of us probably can! But I’m not talking about those, I’m talking about how to make it work for the MOST of us, and not just for SOME!

What about JUST DREAMING? Can all of us dream? Of course we can! And even in TECHNICOLOR! :-)

So maybe what we should try to do is break down the Secret in more bite-size pieces, so to speak...

Yeah, if we broke it down into SMALLER STEPS...Do you think it could work for more than just SOME of us?

Of course it could!

So how about this:

Step One. Allow yourself to dream. Not DREAM BIG – just dream a little at first... And test it!
Step Two. Make a wish. Don’t go for the stars right away. Make a simple wish, and just keep on dreaming.
Step Three. Go and experience it! Go and take that DREAM CAR of yours for a ride, go to the Open House and take a tour around that DREAM HOUSE of yours, go and invite that SPECIAL SOMEONE on a date and truly believe that he or she will say YES to you...

What about then?

NOW you have something REAL, something tangible to wish for, right?

Step Four. Keep dreaming about it! Now it makes much more sense as you can actually IMAGINE what you wished for! Now you can visualize it, can you not?!

Once you are able to see it, your mind will start working differently, it will start putting the steps together on how you can actually achieve your dream faster. And, before you even notice, you will arrive at...

Step Five. Receive!

Ta-da! Now pat yourself on the shoulder and start again!

This time allow yourself to dream bigger. Does it make the wishing process so much easier, when you break it down into smaller steps?

This way you can learn how to attract what you want, too! All you need to do is:

TRY IT!

And

PRACTICE IT – that’s all!

1. Be picky, but realistic. You may never find the perfect opportunity if you don’t keep your mind open for change.

2. Do your due diligence before joining, buying or starting a new business. Determine exactly what features you want in your new business and which ones are the most important to you.

3. Examine your financial situation and determine how much you are prepared to spend. Always know exactly what your set-up and carrying costs will be in your new business, and if there are any hidden costs involved.

4. Evaluate Business Model of the opportunity. Use our Pros and Cons of Business Models presentation, in order to evaluate Value, Uniqueness, Timeliness and Ease of use of the Business Model.

5. Think Long-Term. Are you looking for a quick turnaround, or something to be in for a long period of time?

6. Determine residual value of the business. In other words, how much is it going to be worth over time? Ask yourself some questions, such as “Is it a sustainable model?” “Will it last for a long time?” “How soon would I be able to get return on my investment?” and ”What kind of profits should I expect – daily, weekly, monthly, annually?”

7. See if you can create Legacy. Will this business allow you to create affiliates, raving fans, dedicated apprentices? Can you pass this business to your children, your grandchildren, your grand-grandchildren?

8. Use your Brain – not your Emotions! Never make any impulsive business decisions. Always address all pros and cons first – and only then decide. What does it do for you? It will save you time, it will save you money, it will help you avoid costly mistakes.

LivePerson Guide Site Buys Web Analytics Firm NuConomy For $3 Million

Advice site LivePerson has acquired web analytics company NuConomy for $3 million, Techcrunch reports, citing an unidentified source and a rumor on an Israeli website. No comment yet from the two companies. Tel Aviv-based NuConomy, which also has a San Francisco office, has raised roughly $3.3 million since launching about four years ago.

In early 2008, WPP Group became one of its backers. New York-based LivePerson, which has been pursuing an About.com-like model of having individual experts provide advice, has made a previous acquisition in Israel. In June 2007, LivePerson bought Israeli psychic online readings site Kasamba.com for $40 million. It’s not clear how NuConomy would fit into LivePerson’s holdings, but engagement metrics is in wide demand by online media companies these days, so it could represent a good way for LivePerson to expand its ties to other sites.

Josh Waitzkin first caught a glimpse of a chess set while 6 years old and walking with his mother in New York City’s Washington Square Park. He was going to play on the monkey bars, and instead he fell in love with the art that would dominate much of his young life. He won the National Primary Championship in 1986, the National Junior High Championship in 1988 while in the fifth grade, and the National Elementary Championship in 1989. At the age of eleven, he drew a game with World Champion Garry Kasparov in a simultaneous exhibition.

At age 13, Josh earned the title of National Master. He won the National Junior High Championship for the second time in 1990, and the Senior High Championship in 1991, as well as the U.S. Cadet Championship (under-sixteen). Between the 3rd and 9th grades, Josh also led New York City’s Dalton School to win 6 National team championships.

In 1993 Paramount Pictures released the film, “Searching for Bobby Fischer“, based on the highly acclaimed book of the same title written by Fred Waitzkin, documenting Josh’s journey to winning his first National Championship. That same year, at 16, Josh became an International Master and the U.S. Junior (Under-21) Co-Champion. In 1994 he won the U.S. Junior Championship and placed fourth in the Under-18 World Championship.

In addition to his intense chess life, Josh is also a gifted athlete deeply involved in the study of the martial arts Tai Chi Chuan and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Josh began studying Tai Chi Chuan with Grandmaster William CC Chen in the fall of 1998. He was drawn into the art by his love for eastern philosophy and by the desire to begin a learning process anew, as a total beginner, away from the spotlight that constantly followed his chess career. In William CC Chen, Josh found the teacher that he had always searched for, “A great master with the humility and generosity that true ‘Quality’ is all about.”

In addition to Josh’s intense competitive life, he is a renowned writer and teacher in the fields of learning and performance psychology. In 1993 When Josh was 18, Simon and Schuster published Josh’s first book, “Attacking Chess.” Now a staple in any chess player or fan’s library, Josh’s youthful book combines autobiographical anecdotes with the strategies that propelled him to the top of the scholastic chess world.

Josh’s recently published, “The Art of Learning“, which is part autobiography, part chess memoir, part martial arts philosophy. Essentially, Waitzkin offers his own approach to becoming a student and applying certain disciplines and habits toward learning and eventually mastering any skill.

Here’s my takeaways from The League of Extraordinary Minds’ Panel Session 5:

Session 5 covered the following topics:

ADD, Multi-Tasking, Stress Management, Execution Gaps, Time Management, Efficiency & Productivity and the LXM Experts addressed these items ‘head-on’:

They admitted that most of the Entrepreneurs have ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder.) It means that, just like children, they can’t focus on one given activity for a long period of time.

The overall understanding between the experts is that Multi-tasking does not work. We need to learn how to handle Stress in our Business and our Lives.

We need to recognize the fact that Execution Gaps are merely consequences of multi-tasking, ongoing distraction and our Email addiction.

What a great week-end we had!

LXM Panel Session # 4 has been available all week-end long, so my Team, my Partners and I took full advantage of it!

I myself listened to it twice, created a PowerPoint presentation with my takeaways from it and sent multiple tweets about this exciting event to all my followers on Twitter and other Social Networks.

However, this morning I heard from a number of my followers that they somehow missed this valuable broadcast and would like to make it available to them “as a huge favor”, so to speak…

Well, to tell you frankly, I was not sure if I wanted to do that, but then I thought about all of you who had to leave town for the week-end and those who had to do their Christmas shopping – and were consequently unable to show up for the last week session.
